Journey: Greatest Hits
Journey: Greatest Hits
Label: Columbia
Year: 1988
Journey opens their Greatest Hits collection with a song featured on the Vision Quest soundtrack which kinda sounds like Bryan Adams, following it with a song no sane ear wants to hear again, continuing with “Wheel In The Sky” (featuring Aynsley Dunbar), chased by two more tracks no sane ear hankers for, before “Any Way You Want It” and closing side 1 with a song from the Two Of A Kind soundtrack. Wow. Side two opens with another of those not for sane ear tracks, followed by arguably the greatest Journey cut (although the single version should be the representative here), then “Lights” (featuring Aynsley Dunbar), the Human Resources anthem “Lovin’, Touchin’, Squeezin’” and closing with four more tracks the ear doesn’t care about. Journey’s Greatest Hits is like a lot of times platinum and it doesn’t even include “Feeling That Way” or “Anytime”. Both of course featuring Aynsley Dunbar, who even gets a songwriting credit!
