April 19, 1990 was the day the blueprint responsible for the rock n roll explosion that would detonate a year and a half later (on major labels) was released upon the world. That blueprint was powered by Brendan Canty & Joe Lally, who like Charlie Watts & Bill Perks powered The Rolling Stones through Black And Blue almost exactly 14 years earlier. Both combinations share the distinction of not being the first drum and bass combo that come to mind in their era, but each were directly responsible for powering their respective bands to the title of "The Greatest Rock and Roll Band in the World”. Albeit the former combination had to deal with far less bullshit than the latter.
