Sweet Baby James comes out as strong as he possibly can going sensitive punk on “Your Smiling Face” with Kootch, Kunks and Sklar doing the heavy lifting. Say this for James Taylor, he had the good fortune of meeting production soul mate Peter Asher and knowing outstanding musicians if not avoiding psychiatric wards and Democratic Presidential fund raisers. As usual though, JT is light on songs, although it’s nice to see Vinnie “Terra Nova” get some recognition.
