Keith Richards: Talk Is Cheap
Keith Richards: Talk Is Cheap
Label: Virgin Records
Year: 1988
Keith Richards of Jagger/Richards fame had had enough! He got with Steve Jordan (like Charlie told him to), put together a core band (with special guests dropping in, as well as out) and recorded a solo album. The first four songs are high on attitude if not quite classic Keith, before E Streeter Patti Scialfa with the Memphis Horns stop by for “Make No Mistake” and Keith incinerates Mick Jagger of Jagger/Richards fame with “You Don’t Move Me” to close side 1. Side 2 opens with four K. Richards/S. Jordan classics featuring the assembled core of X-Pensive Winos and closes with “It Means A Lot”, which Talk Is Cheap surely did to Keith.
