Likely only your most music obsessed friend knows who Kevin was and even that may be a stretch. Whatevershebringswesing opens with “There Is Loving/Among Us/There Is Loving” clocking in at over seven minutes, but only near the end do you realize it’s that long. The title track is the centerpiece of the album clocking in at over eight minutes, which you don’t realize until it’s over. And, “Stranger In Blue Suede Shoes” was a single! Whatevershebringswesing may not turn you into a Kevin Ayers fan unless your ears are wide open, but when his name comes up at your next wine and cheese party at least you’ll know who he was.
