On their debut, which was actually Rockpile album #5 - including 3 under Rockpile member Dave Edmunds name and another under Nick Lowe’s - Rockpile sound awesome and look great, whether it be a Rockpile original or a song they Rockpile. Declaring Rockpile (Dave & Nick along with Billy Bremmer & Terry Williams) the best band in the world circa 1980 is probably a stretch, but the person declaring isn’t stupid, for no band played that fast thing more times than Rockpile.
