Everyone who remembers popular music in the late 80s remembers the name Toni Childs, but none can recall any of her songs unless they’re a dedicated listener of SirrusXM channel 8. Union, Toni’s 1988 debut is co-produced by David Ricketts, who was one half of David & David and David Tickle who was not. Littered with great musicians such as Alex Acuña, Rick Marotta and David Rhodes (who was not half of David & David), can all be heard better elsewhere, and come to think of it, I’m not sure I’ve heard any of these songs on 80s on 8 - but I’ll always remember Toni Childs, who if I recall had great hair in 1988.
